Hi! Good Day everyone! My name is Jyra Fatima Laher Nepomuceno from Grade 11 STEM- Gauss, and I’m here to share my reflection about the journey of my learning process in making use of ICTs as an empowerment tool.
What exactly is ICT? That is the first question that comes to our mind everytime we hear the term ICT. So, ICT stands for Information and Communication Technology, and it deals with the use of various communication technologies such as mobile phones, telephones, Internet, and so on to discover, save, submit, and modify documents. ICT is also enabling poor people in developing countries to gain economic, social, and political empowerment. One of the most difficult challenges for ICT projects is financial sustainability. Many jobs are created as a result of the use of technology. ICT enables us to create advocacy that benefits not only people but also animals and the environment; we can raise awareness by utilizing ICT tools.
Ict has made a significant contribution to my daily life in terms of using various platforms. I’ve learned a lot in ICT, and it makes me feel good every time I do something because it allows me to present a beautiful presentation. When I first encountered this subject/lesson, I struggled to comprehend it because I had no prior experience with computers, but as time passes, little by little I understand how it works and how it is important in my daily life. All of the lessons I’ve learned from this can be applied to my future career choice, and this will be extremely beneficial to me. When I came across this topic, I learned how to use and create a website, presentation, and blog. Because of ICT, I now understand a lot of things, such as how to create a website, how to empower people, and how to value small websites. I gained so much knowledge while using ICT, and I’m confident that I’ll be able to apply what I’ve learned in the future. ICT has already played a significant role in my life; I have learned, experienced, and acknowledged a great deal as a result of it. I’m glad I encountered this type of journey; it may be difficult at times, but at the end of the day, I always end up smiling.
