Prevent the Spread of Corona Virus

Good Day Everyone! I’m Jyra Fatima Laher Nepomuceno, a Grade 11 Student of Calatagan Senior Highschool and currently taking the STEM Strand. My Advocay is all about PREVENT THE SPREAD OF COVID 19.

Hello and welcome, everyone! Again Jyra Fatima Laher Nepomuceno is my name. I am 16 years old and originally from Talisay, Calatagan, Batangas. I am a Senior High School student currently enrolled at Calatagan Senior High School, where I am studying Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, also known as STEM. I’m in Grade 11 section GAUSS, and I’d like to share my advocate with all of you in order to raise awareness about how to prevent the spread of Covid 19. My advocate can lead to social change that will change our perspective, and I hope you’ll take the time to read this:

Nowadays, many people are experiencing the Covid-19, many people are having difficulty because of it, and all of us, including students and teachers, are facing a major problem. So, before we discuss how to prevent the spread of Covid 19, let’s first discuss where and when it originated. COVID-19 is a disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The majority of people with COVID-19 have minor symptoms, but some can become extremely ill. Although most people with COVID-19 recover within a few weeks, some people develop post-COVID symptoms. Post-COVID conditions are a variety of new, bringing it back, or continuous health problems that can occur more than four weeks after being infected with the virus that causes COVID-19. COVID-19 is more likely to cause severe illness in older people and those with certain underlying medical conditions.COVID-19 vaccines are both safe and effective. To secure yourself and others, we should take the following precautions to avoid the spread of Covid-19, and this steps are:

  • Wear a mask in public, especially if you can’t separate yourself physically.
  • Maintain a safe distance (at least 1 metre) from others, even if they don’t appear to be sick.
  • When it’s your turn, get vaccinated. In terms of vaccination, follow local recommendations.
  • If you are feeling ill, stay at home.
  • Open, well-ventilated spaces are preferable to closed ones. Indoors, open a window.
  • When you cough or sneeze, cover your nose and mouth with your elbow or a tissue.
  • Hands should be washed frequently. Use soap and water or an alcohol-based hand rub to clean your hands.

We can help prevent the spread of Covid 19 by simply following these steps. As students, I am aware that we are all having a difficult time dealing with this type of pandemic; we can’t control others, but we can control ourselves. I chose this type of advocacy because I’m tired of living in a situation where we don’t have our freedom because we have to follow the rules, where we can’t go outside without wearing a face mask because we might detect a virus, where we can’t visit our loved ones because they live far away, and most importantly, where we can’t go to school because we have to secure our health. We cant do all of this, but technology also allows us to see our loved ones and learn, even if it is virtual. So, if you are reading this, please follow these steps and share it with everyone so that they are also aware. Thank you for visiting my website; I hope you learned something from it, and I appreciate you taking the time to read my advocacy. Always remember our health is our greatest wealth.
